Joe Gent's brace helped Redbridge move up the table as they beat Tilbury at the Oakside.
The home side started well and had a good early chance through Gent when he was put clean through only to see his lob go wide of the goal.
Shortly after he made up for that miss by opening the scoring after an Abs Thompson effort had came back off the bar straight into his path and he made no mistake with the rebound.
Soon after Tilbury had their best chance of the game as Tom Wood saw his curling effort superbly tipped over by Mark Parker in goal.
Tilbury were then awarded a penalty but Neil Richmond's weak effort was saved by Parker. They were made to pay for the miss as soon went further behind after a Tilbury clearance fell to the feet of Gent and his delightful curling effort beat Lamar Johnson.
The second half continued with the home side pressing but Tilbury make it a nervy last few minutes as they pulled a goal back through substitute Jake Pooley.
Redbridge however held on for the win which now sees them move seven points clear of relegation.
