Ricky Eaton and his boys got off to a good start in their pre-season friendlies with a 4-2 win against a good Tower Hamlets side. The Gaffer was trialling a few players as he used 2 different teams in each half.
The game itself started well for the Motormen, Scoring in the first 12 minutes through Aaron Matthews. After the goal it seemed the performance level dropped slightly. Conceding two goals just before the half drew to a close.
The second half was a lot better for Redbridge. Goals from Lesley Thompson and Kelvin Poku, as well as a second for Matthews meant the first of the friendlies ended in victory.
This wasn’t quite the high profile friendly but it was a good run out for the lads ahead of next week’s much anticipated friendly VS Dean Holdsworth’s, Chelmsford FC.
