Redbridge entertained Ryman Premier side Hendon in the London Senior Cup semi finals as they looked to continue their fine cup form which was in complete contrast to their poor league form.
The Motormen came into the match having lost their past 7 games whilst Hendon were unbeaten in their previous five games.
The home side started strongly and had the first effort on target when a Joe Gent volley was saved by ex Redbridge keeper Joe Wright.
Further chances came for either side however Redbridge came the closest to opening the scoring when a good run from Gent ended with his cross finding Charlie Portway whom laid the ball off to Rigers Kabashi who saw his well placed effort clip the crossbar and go behind for a goal-kick.
Another good effort soon followed this time when Carlos Espirito Santo's effort looked to be heading for the top corner but Wright was able to palm it away with a superb save.
Somewhat against the run of play it was the Hendon who took the lead when the home side failed to clear the danger and striker Kezie Ibe was on hand to stab home the loose ball.
The goal gave confidence to the away side as they started to dominate possesion and went in search of a second goal.
Into the 2nd half and a good early break away for the Motormen saw Reside Coxi-Sebastfao brought down and from the resulting free kick the ball bounced off a blue head and into the grateful arms of Wright.
Brandon Adams had a great chance to double Hendon's lead when he waltzed his way through but Chafer got down well to make a smart save down to his left.
Soon after another effort by the same player was spurned when he fired over the bar from close range.
Redbridge were working hard trying to get back on level terms as they started to look dangerous on the attack although were leaving themselves open on the counter attack as Hendon had a few attempts which all went off target.
The home side failed to find the equalising goal and Hendon held on to book their place in the final.
