Redbridge started their pre-season campaign winning the game with the odd goal in 7 in an entertaining friendly away to Eton Manor at Waltham Abbey.

Before the game the clubs agreed to 3 x 40 half's

Redbridge took the lead on 6 when Alex Read scored from 6 yards following an in swinging corner. Eton Manor were level only 2 minutes later following a defensive mix up. Lee Newcombe in the Redbridge goal was called upon on 23 to make a fine save. Within a minute the home side took the lead when another corner was smashed home from 2 yards. On 30 Read was again in the action when his header hit the bar and went in.

In the 2nd 40 some good football was played by both sides. Two goals were scored, both by Redbridge. On 67 Sonny Adams corner was headed home by Matthew Donovan. 4 minutes later Anton Agdomar picked up on a defensive mistake and hustled through to score to the keepers left. On 92 captain Peddie hit the bar again from a dangerous Adams corner. With 15 to go Eton Manor pulled a goal back when everyone stopped giving the striker an easy task of scoring. In the final seconds Matt Gillingham hit just wide.

After the game joint manager Kris Taylor said he was pleased with the performance and it was a good workout for the squad. Redbridge hope to play another friendly before travelling to Stotfold on 31st July.
