The Motormen hosted bottom of the league side Burnham Ramblers as they looked to extend their unbeatable run to 3 matches.

It was almost an early break through when Aron Gordon found himself through on goal but a defender managed to clear the danger just in time.

It was all early pressure from the home side and Kieran English really should have scored when his point blank header went wide.

The Burnham keeper Reece Clarke was in fine form and made a very good double save from Gordon and then the follow up from Oliver Bell to keep the scores level.

Against the run of play the away side were awarded a penalty on 31 minutes but Charlee Hughes spurned the effort as the ball went flying high over the bar.

The chance however gave Burnham confidence as Bobby Barker strolled through the home defence but agonisingly put his shot wide.

The half ended with more home pressure as a header back across the area from English caused havoc in the goal area before the danger was finally cleared.

The 2nd period started as the first ended with Redbridge coming close to opening the scoring when Tyriq Alexander saw his effort rebound back off the bar.

Next up it was the home side to be awarded a spot kick when Oscar Williams was brought down after a run into the penalty box. Up stepped skipper Adam Hunt and he made no mistake from 12 yards.

The first chance of the half for Burnham came through the lively Ben Clarke as his long range effort went just over the bar.

Further chances also came through Barker and Hughes but failed to trouble Jake Mernaga in the Redbridge goal.

Redbridge should have been two up when a lovely defence splitting pass from Gordon found English but he had more time than he realised and spurned his effort

It however never too long for the next goal which came again through Hunt as he picked the ball up in space and tucked it home with a tidy finish.

Clarke once again was called upon this time making a superb save from substitute Jacob Dingli's long range effort which he turned onto the post but it was to no avail as the loose ball fell to Gordon who rifled home.

The home side were well on top and for all Burnham’s efforts it unfortunately brought no rewards and they conceded for a 4th time when Hart waltzed around the keeper and fired goal wards but Bobby Bird cleared with his hand off the line. The referee had no choice but to show him the Burnham player a red card and up stepped Hunt to complete his hat-trick and seal a comfortable 4-0 win.
