The Motormen travelled down the A127 to league leaders Hullbridge Sports looking to extend their recent current unbeaten run.
Within the minutes however the home side had taken the lead when a poor clearance from Jake Mernaga in goal fell at the feet of Matt Brinklow and with the keeper off his line he looked up and lofted the ball into an empty net from 25 yards.
Moments later Hullbridge almost doubled their lead when Like Hornsley broke free from Stephen Good but his shot was well saved.
The first effort from the away side finally came falling to DJ Adelekan but his shot lacked any real power and fell gladly into the arms of James Pellin.
The home side again came forward and a lovely ball found Bradley Morgan in space and with just Mernaga to beat the Redbridge keeper stood firm and made a good save.
Redbridge came back at their opponents as a deep cross from Ore Odutola found Kieran English who headed down for Aron Gordon who controlled well before turning and firing wide.
Redbridge soon were forced into a double substitution after injuries to both Oliver Bell and English whom were replaced by Joe Gent and Jacob Dingli.
It meant some reshuffling of personal but soon reaped rewards as Adelekan rose highest to a in-swinging free kick and directed his header over Pellin and into the back of the net right on the half time whistle.
The home side came after the break looking more purposeful and it never took long before they retained their lead.
A cross from out wide by Charlie Gerada found the head of Jimmy Cox who simply nodded home.
Hornsley then cut inside two Redbridge defenders but his fierce effort went just wide. The same player had another good effort soon after but this time was denied by the feet of Mernaga.
Redbridge were not out the match and were always looking to push forward as they went in search of the equaliser but attempts from Dingli and Gent came to nothing and Hullbridge were able to hold on for the 3 points which keeps them as early pacesetters on the Essex Senior League.
