Hullbridge Sports FC 2-3 Redbridge FC

Sports lose a two goal lead to go down 2-3 to the current league leaders after conceding two penalties (one saved) and only having ten men from the 54th minute.

Sports went in at the break 2-0 up after goals from Michael Salako (6) and a great strike from Harry Watkins (40) which crashed against the bar and then in to the net.

The Bridge Boys hadn't had it all their own way as Russell Harley was forced to save on 5 minutes from Jacob Dingli and then on 12 minutes Joshua Hutchinson hit the post and then Brian Moses smashed it over the bar from the rebound from twelve yards, missing an open goal!

On 38 minutes a Salako cross found the feet of Luca Frankis, but he just couldn't manage to get a shot off and as the Hullbridge side went in at half time there must have been a flicker of hope that they might just pick up some points.

Redbridge were thrown a lifeline 3 minutes after the start when they were awarded a penalty, but Sports keeper saved from Jacob Dingli. It wasn't to stay 2-0 for long as on 52 minutes Brian Moses headed in from a corner to get the league leaders back in the game.

Two minutes later Redbridge were awarded another penalty and unfortunately Charlie Buffin received a straight red card for his handball on the line. Mosses stepped up for Redbridge and this time slotted home to make it 2-2 on 55 minutes.

On 61 minutes Hullbridge were behind as Liam Thomas seemed to score direct from the corner and Sports were now with their backs to the wall.

Another good save from Russell Harley on 90 minutes before on 90+2 Perry Dunn headed over from a Sam Taylor free kick and leave Sports to finish the afternoon with nothing.
