The Motormen secured their place in the 2nd Round of the Gordon Brasted Trophy but were made to work hard for the win against a spirited Woodford Town side.
Ricky Eaton and Joey May fielded a strong side with the only notable change seeing Jack Francis replace Lewis Greene in goal and it was the away side who started the game strongly with Patrick Duggan firing a couple of early shots wide before Brian Moses hit a post.
Calvin Poku then stung the keepers palms with a shot from distance before Moses again was denied this time by the crossbar. A loose kick by Francis almost allowed a Woodford striker in on goal but good defending saw the ball finally cleared to safety.
Redbridge were then awarded a penalty after Moses was tripped in the box, up stepped Eljay Worrell however his effort was well saved by Nick Wilson in goal.
The home side then had their best opportunity of the half when a cross to the far post found Andre Bennett in space but headed wide when he should have at least tested the goalkeeper.
Into the second half fell and the first chance fell to Redbridge substitute Lindisipho Mytanda who saw his chipped effort bounce off the bar before against the run of play the home side opened the scoring when Lewis-Kirwan thumped home.
However just two minutes later Redbridge were back on level terms when a poor kick from Wilson was seized upon by Mytanda who found Coxi-Sebastfao in space and he drilled his effort into the far corner leaving the Woodford keeper stranded.
With the game now becoming much more open both sides had chances to regain the lead however it was the away side whom did so when Coxi-Sebastfao saw his shot parried by Wilson and the ball fell straight into the path of Moses who tapped home from a yard out.
Redbridge then lost their concentration and from the kick off Woodford Town immediately equalised when Lewis-Kirwan popped up to grab his second of the game.
Like the weather it was now also raining goals on the pitch as Redbridge went back in front after Courtney Homans found Moses who did well beating his man before squaring the ball into the path of Coxi Sebastfao who fired home from close range.
Moments later it was four as Coxi-Sebastfao grabbed his hat-trick tucking home after the Woodford defence had failed to clear , he then found himself free in space bearing down on goal as he looked surely to score his 4th goal of the evening but dragged his effort wide.
The drama had not ended yet as Woodford were then awarded a penalty after Jonathon Mbamarah committed a foul but this time it was Francis who made the save.
With no further goals the final whistle eventually blew on an entertaining encounter came to an end which will now see Redbridge travel to Waltham Forest in the 2nd Round.
