2nd Half Turnaround Secures Points

A Brian Moses double along with a Liam Thomas goal saw us come back from 1 down to win 3-1 at Wadham Lodge

The Motormen travelled to Wadham Lodge in confident mood after Saturdays victory over fellow title rivals FC Romania.

Wadham Lodge themselves were in buyont mood after Monday night's win over Barkingside as they looked to pull themselves out of the relegation places.

It was the home side who started on the upper foot as Terry Foxe headed wide before Abiola Tanimowo shot wide.

Redbridge first chance of note came via Reside CoxiSebastfao who played a neat passing move with Thomas Gogo before firing a fierce effort off target.

Wadham Lodge were closing Redbridge down quickly in all areas of the pitch and they took a deserved lead after 28 minutes when Brian Moses lost possession in midfield to the Wadham number 10, he played in Tanimowo who saw his shot went through the legs of Lewis Greene before being quickest to react and poke home before the keeper could get back to save.

Eljay Worrell then replaced Jonathon Mbamara who left the field after a nasty looking clash of heads before the half time whistle was blown.

Redbridge needed a quick reply if they wanted to get back into this match and they did just that scoring two minutes into the second period.

Worrell floated a free kick into the area finding Liam Thomas free in space at the far post and he showed great composure to cheat the ball down and fire a volley into the far corner.

Goals as we know change games and that was certainly the case here as just 5 minutes later a long ball upfield by Vinny Murphy found the run of Moses who beat the out rushing goalkeeper to the ball and slotted into an empty net to turn the match on its head.

Redbridge were now in dominant mood and Moses found Coxi-Sebastfao who turned his man but was unable to keep his shot down.

Wadham offered very little in the second period as seemed to be shocked by going behind however a superb overhead kick from outside the area just reminded Redbridge they had not won this game yet.

They did give themselves some breathing space when Moses was on hand from close range to head home another Worrell free kick and grab his second of the game which now saw him top the ESL goal scoring charts.

Calvin Poku had a couple of late chances to add to the score line but was denied before time was finally called on proceedings

Redbridge stay second to Great Wakering on goal difference and now move five points ahead of FC Romania as the promotion push continues .
