Redbridge hosted Robert Dyas South Central side Barking n the 3rd round of the BBC Essex Senior Cup.
The away side started the stronger winning a series of corners in the opening stages and came closest when Edward Allsopp fired over when he really should have tested Florent Gislette in goal.
A wayward defensive back pass then set Barking on their way but Eamon Payne showed good awareness and was able to turn the cross over the bar.
The first attack for the home side came when Tony Martin and James Barlow combined well before the latter just put the ball the wrong side of the post with Montel Joseph in the Barking goal well beaten.
Max Bradford then played a ball into the path of Junior Dadson who cut inside but was unable to keep his shot down which was always rising.
Dadson this time then used his pace to run at goal before finding room to get his effort on target which was turned behind by Gislette.
At the other end Barlow connected well but his first time shot was deflected wide for a corner.
Barking's efforts were eventually rewarded with a goal when a cross from Boayke-Yiadom was headed on by Joe Bruce into the feet of Dadson who was able to turn and fire home.
The fog soon started to descend as Barking came forward again with this time Stuart Collins guilty of the miss as he put the ball wide unmarked from close range.
A half time change for the hosts saw Taylor Tombides replace Barlow and within a minute it paid dividends
Tom Harvey played a through ball which the striker ran onto and showed composure to calmly spot past Joseph to equalise.
Redbridge then had their best spell of the match as Tombides broke again however this time he chose the wrong option and tried to cut inside a defender instead of passing and the chance was lost.
A well worked short corner was then headed over Martin as Redbridge continued to pressure their opponents.
Barking got forward with Bradford's curling effort requiring a good save from Gislette before Jack Roult smashed his effort over.
Tombides was looking lively for the hosts and he beat his man before putting over a teasing cross which just evaded the run of Martin.
Barking soon however got themselves back in front when Allsopp alone dragged several defenders out wide before calmly placing the ball into the far corner of the goal.
It was the away side now back in control as they came forward and Allsopp seemed destined to add a third although Gislette was equal to it and made the save.
Barking captain Joseph Bruce was then denied as he connected from a corner only to see his header hit the upright and bounce out to safety.
Connor Okus came closest to levelling however the Barking defence held firm and saw out the match which now sees their name into the hat for the 4th round draw
