Redbridge started the game well with Mark Nougher having a couple of chances from outside the area.
Broxbourne took the lead with a long ball up the middle, which was capitalised on by their striker who neatly finished under pressure.
Young Kieran Bishop had a great chance to level for the Motormen but saw his shot from insdie the area saved by Broxbourne's keeper. Straight away the ball was cleared up field and after a lapse of concentration, one of the hosts forward's cut the ball back accros the box allowing a midfielder to hammer the ball in.
Redbridge improved after half time with Shane Stamp and Ryan Murray making their marks on the game. Nougher was working hard in midfield and came close to scoring on two occasions in the second half with Broxbourne's keeper pulling out one terrific save to deny the classy midfielder.
After a spell of 'pin-ball wizard' when Redbridge had several close shots blocked, skipper Glen Golby powered in a close-range header from corner with around 10 minutes to set up a grand finale to the game.
With the game openeing up, in the final minute of the game the Motormen drew level. Good play in midfield saw the ball find Murray inside the area who coolly found fellow substitute Dwight Gayle at the back post who had the simple task of tucking the ball in.
Despite not winning the game, the boys showed great character to bounce back from a poor first half and dominated the second half with everyone playing their part.
