Harlow Town, fancied by many to gain promotion this season began their campaign with a hard fought victory away to Redbridge at the Oakside Stadium. Minutes after Redbridge had a goal disallowed Harlow took the lead. Stamp cut in from the left, curling a delightful shot into the top corner leaving Parker helpless. Just 8 minutes later the away side doubled their lead with a cross from the left, Liam Thomas the unfortunate man turning into his own net to double Harlow’s lead. After a dreadful first half display from Redbridge, they came out for the second and were right back into the game on 56 minutes, Hooper converted after excellent work from Gent. Redbridge huffed and puffed but couldn’t force the equaliser and were punished in added time when Harlow substitute Smith curled in a wonderful third to confirm the win.
