Redbridge’s winless run goes on to 8 league games, as a poor home performance ended up in a 2-0 home defeat to Thamesmead.
The visitors took the lead with the only shot on target in the first half, an outstanding strike from Sean Roberts, a rare moment of quality in the game.
A real midfield tussle resulted in the away side controlling the contest and showing why they’re currently sitting in seventh place.
The hosts really struggled to create any chances and didn’t manage to test the Thamesmead keeper as they couldn’t fashion a shot on target in a pretty abysmal display to leave the home fans frustrated.
The points were sealed with 10 minutes to go as Derek Duncan was quickest to react to a loose ball in the box to give Thamesmead Town their third straight win continuing their fine away league form.
Redbridge will have to start improving their performances if they are to climb out of the relegation zone and climb the league.
This was the Motormen’s tenth straight game in all competitions without a win and will hope this disastrous run can come to an end away to Cray Wanderers on Tuesday night or at home to Maldon and Tiptree on Saturday afternoon as both sides currently sit in the bottom five positions.
