Redbridge rounded off a fine week in style with a convincing 4-1 victory at home to Maldon & Tiptree.

The home side started well with Mckenzie and Carolan going close in the early stages. Redbridge did eventually take the lead on the half hour mark. Charlie Parish's bullet head left visitors goalkeeper Warren with no chance.

The second half was totally different from the first with the away side creating several chances with perhaps the best falling Asante, after good work from Hunter Asante seemingly had the easy task of tapping into the empty net, Parish had different ideas and a heroic clearance kept the score at 1-0.

10 minutes from time a moment of magic McKenzie doubled the hosts lead, flicking the ball over the defending and into the top corner extended his sides lead.

From the kick off the Motormen switched off and allowed Cliff Akurang to sweep home and cut the lead to just one. Just a minute after that Rebridge regained their two goal lead one again.

Nougher cut back for Carolan to sweep home at the near post to the delight of the home crowd who sensed victory. The scoring was complete in stoppage time when McKenzie topped a wonderful individual performance by scoring his second.

Substitute Chambers played through a perfect through ball and the frontman did the rest smashing home to make the score 4-1 and give the Redbridge their first home victory since August and their second league win on the bounce in which time they've scored 8 goals and have moved out of the drop zone.
