Redbridge hosted Thurrock on Saturday afternoon in a tough looking encounter as the visitors came into the game on the back of six straight wins.
A rampant first half from Thurrock helped them to their seventh straight win in which time they have scored a staggering 30 goals.
Despite a good start from Redbridge Thurrock opened the scoring. Lamar Reynolds was fouled in the box and Ross Wall was left to do the rest from the spot.
Just 10 minutes later the inform Charlie Stimson doubled the whites lead, his dipping volley from 25 yards left Avery no chance.
Not long after the young striker had his second of the afternoon, his glancing header from Reynold's cross once again left Avery helpless and the three points were virtually in the bag before half time.
One bright moment for the hosts in the first half was Vinnie Murphy's sensational free kick. The goal just before the break did a lot to boost the home sides confidence and had a few good chances to cut Thurrock's lead to just one and get themselves right back into the contest.
Firstly Brian Moses good run and shot struck the post and then the big man somehow headed wide from two yards out from Chinedu McKenzie's cross.
The last opportunity fell to Charlie Parish but he headed well over as a frustrated Redbridge fell to their first league defeat in 5.
