The Motormen hosted Maldon & Tiptree as they went in search of a 5th consecutive victory.
With the suspended Jack Chawner missing in came Karl Kayembe fo whilst there was also starts for Kai Thomas Fraser, Soumen Nandi and Rodney Botuli.
An early opportunity for the home side as Malachi Napa fired over from a wide angle before at the other end a cross in from the right found Chris Millar who saw his effort blocked.
Kayembe then tried his luck from range but his shot was always heading wide before Nandi went down in the box but the referee waved away any appeals.
Maldon then came forward down the right and although the ball was initially cleared it ended up at the feet of Mohammed Amir who fired from the edge of the box low into the corner beating the dive of keeper Samuel Nwabuko.
The home side were only behind for three minutes before they were awarded a penalty, Malachi Napa was upended in the box but dusted himself off to fire home the equaliser.
Redbridge were now looking the most likely to get the next goal, Nandi seeing his effort deflected up and onto the roof of the net.
Both sides were guilty of conceding possession and a short back pass from Thomas Fraser was almost seized upon by a Maldon attacker.
Into the second period and the away side restored their lead when a shot was initially saved by Nwabuko but fell kindly into the path of Kai Brown who made no mistake from close range.
2-1 shortly then became 3-1 , a ball down the right flank found the run of Kai Redgave who rather than shooting decided to cut inside beating a defender before emphatically shooting into the back of the net.
Maldon were not letting up as they went in search of a fourth goal, Amir saw a shot deflected out for a corner before substitute Matthew Price saw his shot fly just wide of the upright.
Redbridge then saw two of their sbstitutes combine as Reuben Campbell saw his cross find Doriano Tanzillo who was denied by Dominic Alexandru in goal , the same player then saw his shot tipped round the post by the keeper.
With Redbridge pushing for another goal they did grab a second deep into added time when Kaymebe ghosted in at the far post , it gave the home side belief of an equaliser however it never arrived and the away side held on for the victory inflicting a first defeat on new manager Chris Taylor.
