The Motormen were looking for back to back wins as they hosted Brightlingsea Regent who in recent weeks had climbed up into the play off positions and were joint top of the form table
It was however an early goal for the home side, Fotsing Pitoula-Wabo cut inside from the left and curled a his effort past the dive of Charlie Turner.
Brightlingsea then had a good spell of possession, they had chances through both Jake Clowsley and Louie Kudiabor the latter of whom then equalised. Samuel Nwabuko in the Redbridge goal made a smart save before the ball was played out wide before being crossed into the middle finding the striker who swept the ball home.
Arguments from the home defence with the officials over a potential offside but the goal was allowed to stand.
The away side continued to look dangerous coming forward, much of their play coming through the ever lively Fletcher Alexader-Hubbard
Redbridge then came forward with a good passing move, the ball found it's way out on the right to skipper Joseph Elliott who crossed first time across the box searching for Pitoula-Wabo who arrived too late and only succeeded to find the side netting.
Into the second period and the home side restored their lead with another early goal, it was a case of pinball in the box and although the crossbar initially saved Regent the ball dropped to Karl Kayembe who fired home through a crowded penalty box.
Soon after two became three, a ball was played over the top and Tendi Quamina showed braveness to get his body in front of the outcoming goalkeeper and headed the ball over the line before a defender could get back to clear, the striker taking a knock for his efforts.
It was now Regent who were under pressure as Redbridge took control of the match, Pitoula-Wabo searching for the spectacular but the ball was always rising.
The domination resulted in a 4th goal which proved to be the best of the lot, a counter attack from the home side as Henry Day switched the ball into the path of Malachi Napa, he played the ball into the path of Solomon Ogunwomoju who curled a lovely effort past Turner with the outside of his foot.
Redbridge didn't let up in their attacking intent and another good move resulted in a goal, Kayembe carried the ball forward before releasing Pitoula-Wabo who shot early firing across Turner for his second of the game.
The scoring had not finished their however as Brightlingsea did have time for another goal although proved too little too late, Nwabuko should have done better as his fumble allowed the ball to hit the post and drop across the line.
Pitoula-Wabo then believed he should have had a penalty when put through on before falling to the ground under a challenge but the referee waved play on , it was almost a sixth for the home side as youngster Matas Machovas just fresh off the bench saw his looping shot bounce back off the bar .
Full time was then called as a ruthless Redbridge picked up an excellent 3 points and climb up to 9th in the table
