Redbridge hosted Concord Rangers and lined up as in their previous fixture , Max Spence in goal making his home debut.
A great chance for the home side within the opening minute, Solomon Ogunwomoju intercepted a misplaced pass and ran in on goal but delayed his effort, in doing so allowed a defender to get back and made a good block.
Ogunwomoju then turned provider playing a lovely through pass finding the run of Fotsing Pitoula-Wabo who shot wide.
It was a fast start from the home side however they were almost caught out , Jack Chawner disposed trying to play out from back allowing Simo Mbonkwi the chance to shoot but his effort was always rising.
Concord then came forward again, a good passing move saw the ball played into the middle finding the unmarked Evernage Nyahunda who blazed well over.
Redbridge then came forward down the left though the lively Tendi Quamina , the ball eventually finidng it's way to Chawner who fired through a crowed but the ball was comfortbaly gathered by keeper Harry Searden.
A good spell then followed for the away side in which Spence had to be alert as he firstly parried away a curling attempt by Connor Brooks before acrobatically tipping over a George Sykes chance.
From the resulting corner a header almost dropping in at the back post however Ogunwomoju was back showing his defensive qualities to head away off the line.
Redbridge then came forward forcing a series of corners, chances came for both Ogunwomuju and Pitoula-Wabo but on both occasions Searden stood firm.
The deadlock was finally broken just before the interval, Henry Day played a lovely crosss field ball which found Quamina who showed good control to bring the ball down and although he at first fell to the ground poor defending allowed him a second opportunity this time firing across Searden into the corner of the net.
Threre was almost time for another goal as Karl Kayembe saw his shot well saved.
The first effort of the second hald fell to Stephen Cawley who headed wide from close range when he really should have tested Spence.
The same player however made amends just minutes later, Owen Bellamy did well to pull over a cross from the right finding Cawley all alone at the back post to head home the equaliser.
The goal saw another good spell from the away side who went close , a header across goal just needing a final touch which evaded everyone.
In contrast to the first half Redbridge were struggling to get any real momentum finding their passes and crosses slightly over hit, the game itself was becoming a little of a scrappy affair.
Redbridge turned to the subs bench for inspiration, newly signed ex Basildon striker Nidal Berri entering the fray and with nearly his first touch he cut inside a defender and let fly seeing his shot sting the finger tips of Searden.
The home side did find themselves back ahead, Ogunwomoju cross shot was pushed clear by Searden but unfortunately the ball cannoned straight back of captain Lewis Jaggs and crept over the goal line.
Berri was then presented with a good opportunity which he spurned before Malachi Napa had a stabbed effort rebound back off a post.
Into added time and Concord thought they had levelled only to be denied by a raised flag , that proved to the final action of the afternoon as Redbridge saw through the victory.
