Both sides went into the match confident after opening day victories and entertained the watching crowd with six goals.
The home side started the stronger and wide man Nnamdi Nwachaky looked lively testing Jack Avery in goal early on.
Redbridge looked good on the counter attack especially through their own wide man Joe Gent.
The opening goal came after 25 minutes when Darren Mc Queen picked up the ball cut inside his man before firing his effort into the bottom corner .
Redbridge reacted well and Rigers Kabashi saw his long range attempt come back off a post with Danny Sambridge in the Maldon goal well beaten.
The equaliser however came just moments later when a defensive mix up all lowest Ronnie Winn to head home in which was his first goal for the club.
Maldon pushed for another goal but Avery was on hand with two important stops to keep the scores level going into the break.
Early into the 2nd period and Lewis Probert headed home from a corner to give Maldon the advantage however within minutes though Redbridge were once again level when poor defending saw Gent sweep the ball past Sambridge.
A controversial moment soon after occurred when Nwachaky went on run cutting inside before firing his shot at goal. It appeared certainly from the players reaction that the ball had gone wide so it was a shock to many inside the ground when the referee awarded a goal.
He believed he had seen the net move and on further inspection it was found the goal net had a hole in it which the ball must of gone through. It was a strange situation and obviously the Redbridge team voiced their frustration to the officials but to no avail.
However they never gave up and kept going to the end date which was rewarded with a late injury time goal after a free kick was swung in and Daniel Jones reacted quickest to poke the ball past a despairing Sambridge to rescue the point for his side.
