Redbridge hosted bottom of the table Haringey Borough in what was certainly being classed as a six pointer.
The first clear effort fell to the home side when top scorer Jay Knight shot straight at Ashley Harris.
The away side then slowly started to take control of the game and got in behind the Redbridge back line on several occasions. Their best chance fell to Anthony McDonald who got clear of his marker but his shot did not trouble Mark Parker.
Haringey deserved their lead which came on 23 minutes when poor defending saw the ball end up at the feet of Daniel Aristidou and he was on hand to find the back of the net.
The best on the 1st half for Redbridge came when Jay Knight ran onto a headed flick on and although he took the ball around the goalkeeper his shot was cleared as defenders managed to get back in time.
The experienced Leroy Griffiths then saw his free kick tipped over by Parker as the half time whistle blew.
An early chance in the 2nd half saw Harry Prince put in Knight but the striker took too long to shoot allowing a defender to get back and make the challenge
Mcdonald then ran at the Redbridge defence before cutting inside his marker only to see his effort go wide of post. It was a good chance to double the lead and certainly was a let off for the home team as the player looked certain to score.
As the game neared the end Redbridge started to apply some pressure as they went in search of the equaliser.
Substitute Charlie Parish headed just over from a corner before the home side thought they should have been awarded a penalty when Prince appeared to be upended in the box
The appeal was waved away and Haringey managed to hold on for the 3 points as they close the gap on the sides above them.
