The Motormen remain in the bottom three after a Lee Townrow brace helps Witham to a 3-0 victory.
This fixture has proven to be one of Redbridge's least favourite away grounds to visit and as in recent seasons just getting to the ground in time for kick off seems to be a challenge in itself.
Bad traffic and train problems meant things were no different this time around and with several Redbridge players still en route to the match kick off was delayed by 15 minutes.
Witham thought they had an early lead within the opening minute but the referee called an offside decision.
The away side soon after took control of the match pushing forward at every opportunity and Witham giving away possession cheaply.
It was therefore against the run of play that the home side took the lead. A shot was fired in from range which ended up hitting a Witham player in Ryan Charles and he simply had the time to turn in the box and fire his effort past Callam Chafer in goal.
The goal never rocked Redbridge and they continued to dominate and missed a great opportunity to equalise when William Drake put through Jay Knight but he took too long to shoot allowing Lewis Down to make the save.
A Joe Gent cross then almost dropped into the back of the net before goalscorer Charles almost doubled Witham's lead as he ghosted past two Redbridge defenders before shooting just wide of the post.
The 2nd goal however soon came when from a free kick ex Motormen Lee Townrow popped up in front of his marker to flick a header past Chafer.
Witham came out for the 2nd period looking the stronger side and Jordan Pavett had a couple of efforts he should have done better with.
The home side were not allowing Redbridge to have the freedom which they found in the first half and the best effort they could muster was through a Paulius Ditkevicius free kick which went straight into the arms of Down.
The home side missed further chances to extend their lead but the 3rd goal did finally come and it was that man Townrow again who headed home from a corner.
It was a disappointing night all around for the Motormen who will need to pick themselves up for the visit of fellow relegation strugglers Barkingside on Saturday.
