Redbridge were beaten 4-0 at home to the league leaders AFC Sudbury,

Redbridge entertained top of the table AFC Sudbury after the pitch had passed an early morning inspection.

The league leaders took just 3 minutes to take the lead when George Clark was held back in the area resulting in the referee awarding a penalty which Craig Parked dually slotted home .

The away side were in buoyant mood and came once again at Redbridge, this time captain Sam Clark fired wide after being put through by Jordan Blackwell.

The home side had their best effort on 14 minutes when a Harry Prince through ball found the run of Jay Knight but his effort was well turned away by Marcus Garnham in the Sudbury goal.

Parker almost doubled the lead for Sudbury but his effort was cleared off the line by Redbridge captain Timi Dorgu however they never had to wait too before making it 2-0 when a lovely ball over the top from George Clark alluded defender Jordan Cornelius finding Luke Callander who simply rolled the ball past Sargeant into an empty net.

George Clark then waltzed past several Redbridge defenders before his effort fell gladly into the arms of the home keeper. Clark was in the middle of all the action and this time saw his long range effort tipped over.

It was soon 3-0 after a cross came in finding the head of Parker who scored his second of the game. As the half time whistle approached Callander missed a great chance to make it four as he fired over the ball from yards out.

The first chance of the 2nd half fell to Callander who saw his effort go just wide as the diving Sargeant breathed a sigh of relief.

A rare attempt from the home side saw Knight release Harry Prince but his effort was turned away for a corner. Substitute Joe Maybanks then had a good chance cutting inside his man before shooting which required a good save from Sargeant. The Redbridge keeper was a busy man and called upon to make a superb double save to keep Sudbury at bay once more.

On 70 minutes the away side were awarded another penalty when Sargeant rushed off his line and brought down George Clark, up stepped Parker who thumped home for his hat-trick.

He was only then denied scoring his fourth goal when Sargeant got down well to make yet another save. Redbridge sub Paulius Ditkevicius then blasted a chance high over the bar.

The home side were awarded the chance of a consolation goal when Reside Coxi Sebastfao was upended in the box and up stepped Knight but his effort was well saved by Garnham to make it a miserable afternoon for Redbridge who after this result now find themselves bottom of the table
