The Motormen travelled to Tilbury looking to make it seven matches unbeaten whilst goalkeeper Samuel Nwabuko was aiming for a Step Four club record sixth consecutive clean sheet.
Olamiji Ayoola returned to the starting line up with Kai Thomas-Fraser dropping back down to the bench.
The game took some time to get going , Redbridge looking most dangerous down the left through Soumen Nandi who seemed to be getting the better of his opponent.
Malachi Napa then put over a teasing cross finding Karl Kayembe who headed wide which was the closest either side had come to opening the scoring.
Tilbury then somewhat against the run of play, a ball over the top found Tyler Forbes who still had much to do but managed to evade three Redbridge defenders and shoot past the diving Nwabuko to give his side the lead.
Redbridge looked for an immediate reply putting over a couple of dangerous crosses before Napa showed good skill to get into the box but his effort lacked composure.
Tilbury then came forward down the right through the pacey Max Appauh who saw his shot blocked going out for a corner.
Ayomiji Olukoga then tested Harry Fairs in the Tilbury goal who palmed out , the ball fell at the feet of Nandi who tried to find the top corner but shot just over the bar.
Appuah then got the better off Joshua Taylor before cutting inside and shooting but his effort was always rising.
Redbridge drew level just before the break, Napa done well on the left as he put a ball into the box which was initially saved before falling at the feet of Solomon Ogunwomju who didn't need a second invite and stuck a boot out to connect and flick the ball over the line.
The second period began with Appuah showing his side still were a threat coming forward shooting just wide of the upright.
Tilbury then almost made a costly error as a pass back to Fairs saw the keeper take a heavy touch almost allowing in Ogunwomoju.
At the other end a ball over the top was nicely controlled by Jamie Reynolds on the chest who was almost in on goal but Nwabuko was quickly out of goal to clear the danger.
Redbridge were starting to get on top looking dangerous on the break but on one too many occasions chose the wrong pass which saw the move break down.
A massive chance was then wasted for the away side , Fairs once again taking a bad first touch which this time did see Ogunwomoju win the ball but he drifted too wide and took too long to get his shot off allowing Tilbury defenders to get back in numbers and clear.
Tilbury then caused panic in the Redbridge box as they failed to clear on numerous occasions before the ball finally ended up in the welome arms of Nwabuko.
Redbridge finally got the breakthrough they deserved when substitute Prince Sikiru showed good desire down the left , he cut inside before firing in a cross which fell to Ogunwomoju who cheekily backheeled the ball past Fairs.
As the clock ticked down an additional 5 mins was indicated , Ogunwomoju from inside his half played a lovely ball over the top which found Joseph Johnson who had made the run forward. He challenged Fairs who went to clear however the ball fell kindly and he was suddenly through with just an open goal to aim for, keeping his composure he cut inside a defender before firing into the empty net to seal the victory.
