Six of the Best for Motormen

Redbridge thrashed fellow play off rivals Gorleston 6-1 in an impressive display at the Techsoc.com Stadium.

Redbridge delivered an impressive performance to strengthen their push for a play-off place, comfortably defeating Gorleston in an
entertaining encounter featuring six goals.

Redbridge were forced into a late change during the warm-up, with defender Joseph Johnson ruled out through injury and replaced by Elliott
Sartorius

The hosts made a fast start and took an early lead when a ball across the box found Ayodeji Olukoga at the far post, who finished
smartly.

However, the advantage was short-lived as Gorleston were awarded a penalty after a foul in the box. Alby Matthews confidently converted,
placing his effort beyond Anderson into the far corner.

Redbridge responded quickly and restored their lead. Sartorius was given time on the right to deliver a precise cross to the far
post, where Karl Kayembe was unmarked and tapped home.

Gorleston nearly equalised when Zach Drinfield struck apowerful effort that beat the goalkeeper but crashed against the crossbar.
Pedro Carvalho was lively, creating several chances, including a strong effort saved by goalkeeper Antoni Bort after a corner.
Kayembe also tried his luck from distance but fired wide.

Just before halftime, Redbridge extended their lead,  Charles Brown-Bampoe spread the play wide to Pedro Carvalho who cut inside his
defender and calmly slotted home to make it 3–1 at the break.

Gorleston started the second half with intent, winning a series of corners and creating pressure, but struggled to produce a decisive
finish.

Redbridge remained dangerous on the counter. Jack Chawner showed good skill to create space but fired over, while another chance saw the
goalkeeper out of position, only for the effort to be denied and the follow-up
blasted over.

The hosts eventually added a fourth goal through a well-worked passing move, finished by substitute Louie Remi, who had time and
space to score.

Substitute Prince Sikiru nearly made an instant impact, narrowly missing the target after connecting with a pass from Kai
Thomas-Fraser, and later delivering a dangerous cross across the box.

Redbridge then struck twice in quick succession to seal the victory. Brown Bampoe finished from a Chawner cross, before Pedro
Carvalho capped off his performance by breaking through and clipping the ball past the goalkeeper
