The match’s first major flashpoint arrived when a Redbridge player broke through and Nathan Twum‑Koranteng committed a late, reckless challenge — the referee had no hesitation in producing a straight red card, leaving Redbridge down to ten.

With the numerical adcantage Redbridge remained lively. Mills again tested Whitney, and Tavares — in inspired form — danced past his defender and drove at goal, only to be denied by the keeper’s legs. Whitney was unquestionably the busier of the two goalkeepers.

The breakthrough finally came and was fully deserved. A driven effort was parried by Whitney, but Ayodeji Olukoga reacted quickest, firing home from close range to give Redbridge the lead.

The Motormen pushed for a second. Remi held the ball superbly before feeding Carvalho, whose low effort was saved. Williams then powered through midfield, but Carvalho’s heavy touch allowed Hashtag to clear. The visitors finished the half searching for a leveller, but Redbridge went in ahead.

Pedro Carvalho then lost possession high up the pitch, Hashtag broke quickly, and a perfectly weighted pass released Sayoud, who finished calmly past Greene.

The visitors were transformed, playing with confidence and control , a cross found Park unmarked, and he made no mistake from close range to put Hashtag firmly in command.

Redbridge nearly responded instantly. From the restart, Carvalho surged forward and slipped Mills through, but the young striker took too long, allowing Whitney to smother.

Hashtag continued to threaten, and Redbridge’s afternoon worsened.

A mis‑kick from Mekael Williams fell straight to Sayoud, who slotted home for his second of the match.

The Hashtag supporters, quiet for much of the first half, suddenly roared into life as their side took full control.
