The Motormen made their second visit of the season to the EMR Stadium, this time to face Tilbury, who were led by ex-Redbridge manager George Christou. The hosts also fielded a starting XI featuring seven former Redbridge players, with a further two ex-Motormen among the substitutes.

On an awful playing surface, Redbridge were always going to struggle to play their usual slick passing game. Nevertheless, they created the first opportunity when Ayodeji Olukoga attempted an overhead kick, which was comfortably saved by Tilbury goalkeeper Billy Lawlor.

The home side then ventured forward for the first time, with one of those former players, defender Bradley Bennett, cutting inside before firing an effort that was always rising.

Redbridge began to dominate possession and created a number of opportunities. Firstly, Jack Chawner saw his well-struck free-kick palmed
away by Lawlor before Pedro Carvalho saw a curling effort from distance tipped behind for a corner.

The Motormen came closest to opening the scoring when, from a long throw, skipper Henry Day saw his header appear destined for the far corner, only for Joe Elliott to hack the ball away to safety.

Louie Remi then showed good feet to dance past a couple of challenges before firing an effort narrowly the wrong side of the upright.
With half-time approaching, the deadlock was finally broken. A cross from the left found Ayodeji Olukoga unmarked at the back post, and he calmly nodded home to register his fourth goal of the season.

Into the second period and Redbridge began the stronger of the two sides, although they failed to really create much in the way of clear-cut chances.

With the score still only 1–0, the home side were always in the match, especially with the difficult pitch acting somewhat as a leveller. Tilbury soon drew level when Bennett fired home from close range in a crowded penalty area.

The equaliser spurred the home side on and they began to get on the front foot, going close on a couple of occasions to taking the lead, particularly through their substitutes.

The Motormen were suddenly second best to the ball and it looked as though, if another goal was to come, it would be Tilbury who would find it.

Both sides turned to their benches in an attempt to find a winner, but the game entered four minutes of added time before the full-time whistle was blown, ensuring the spoils were shared.
