Redbridge returned back to the Techsoc.com with a 3-2 victory over Concord Rangers, a Louie Remi(pic) double and a Usisya Longwe with the goals.

Redbridge moved up to third place in the table after an entertaining 3–2 victory over fourth-placed Concord Rangers at the TECHSOC.

The home side were returning to the TECHSOC for the first time in five weeks and made just one change from the weekend, with the returning Charles Brown Bampoe, who had only signed a matter of hours earlier, going straight into the starting line-up.

Concord Rangers enjoyed the better of the early possession, but it was Redbridge who struck first.

A cross into the middle found Loui Remi, who controlled the ball before firing a low shot beyond Concord goalkeeper Charlie Brown to give the hosts the lead.

Concord should have levelled soon after when Emmanuel Kwatchey struggled to deal with a bouncing ball, allowing Mekhi McKenzie through on goal. However, McKenzie could only fire his effort wide of the upright.

It proved to be a costly miss as Redbridge immediately went up the other end and doubled their advantage. Remi was again the scorer, this time producing a moment of individual brilliance as he dribbled into the penalty area before unleashing a rocket into the top corner, leaving Brown grasping at thin air.

The away side were stunned but, to their credit, never allowed their heads to drop. Their positive response was rewarded when a cross from the right was headed home by Toheeb Elegushi in a crowded penalty area.

Concord then enjoyed a decent spell of pressure, much of it coming down the left through Elegushi, whose pace was causing the Redbridge defence problems.

The visitors should have drawn level when a cross was only palmed away by Lewis Green, straight into the path of a Concord striker. However, he rushed his effort and, fortunately for the home side, fired over the bar.

The half-time whistle soon sounded, bringing an end to an exciting opening 45 minutes of attacking football.

Redbridge began the second period on the front foot, looking to restore their two-goal advantage. Karl Kayembe soon won a corner after his effort was deflected behind, and the hosts would not have to wait long to regain their two-goal cushion.

Pedro Carvalho whipped a free-kick towards the far post, where Usisya Longwe rose highest to head home his first goal for the club and make it 3–1.

The match continued to entertain, with both sides creating further opportunities. Charles Brown Bampoe and Jack Chawner both went close as the action continued at an entertaining pace.

As the game entered its dying minutes, Concord were reduced to ten men when Elegushi was shown a second yellow card.

Despite being down to ten, the visitors refused to give up and found a way back into the game deep into added time when substitute Krostopher Oti pulled another goal back.

It proved to be too little, too late, however, as Redbridge held firm to secure a hard-fought 3–2 victory and all three points.

The win sees Redbridge leapfrog their opponents and climb into third place in the table.
