It was a slow start from both sides, with little to note in the final third during the opening exchanges. The first opportunity fell to the hosts when Harry Sparrow tried his luck from distance, but his effort was comfortably gathered by Redbridge goalkeeper Lewis Greene.
At the other end, Charles Brown-Bampoe stole possession from a Wroxham defender and looked set to get a shot away, only for the defender to recover and make an important block.
The home side then came closest to breaking the deadlock when Ryan Hawkins stepped inside Henry Day before firing towards goal. Greene was forced to scamper across his goal, but was relieved to see the effort drift just wide of the upright.
Brown-Bampoe went close again for Redbridge when he stretched to meet a Karl Kayembe cross, but was unable to get enough contact on the ball to trouble Luke Holt in the Wroxham goal.
It had been a tight opening 30 minutes, but as the half progressed it was the visitors who began to look the more likely to score. Kayembe and Brown-Bampoe both saw efforts blocked by a resolute Wroxham defence as the sides went into the interval level.
Redbridge continued to control much of the play after the restart, with wide man Louie Remi seeing plenty of the ball. He cut inside his defender and created room for a shot, but could only fire high and wide.
The pattern of the first half continued, with Redbridge enjoying the majority of possession and territory but struggling to find the vital breakthrough.
Wroxham were finding it difficult to establish any rhythm, although Hawkins continued to pose a threat. He showed good feet inside the Redbridge box to create space for a shot, but his effort was always rising.
Redbridge came close once again when a cross found the head of defender Olamiji Ayoola, only for Holt to produce an excellent save to keep the scores level.
By now it was almost one-way traffic, with only some wayward finishing preventing Redbridge from taking the lead. Eventually, however, the breakthrough arrived.
A cross from the left found Brown-Bampoe in space inside the box, and the forward made no mistake, directing his header into the corner of the net to give the Motormen a deserved lead.
Wroxham almost produced an immediate response. Substitute Ethan Flack found space and delivered a low, teasing cross into the danger area, but fortunately for Redbridge there was nobody in a blue shirt on hand to apply the finishing touch.
Redbridge had further opportunities to put the game beyond doubt, with the Wroxham penalty area becoming a scene of pinball as the visitors searched for a second goal. Despite several opportunities, nobody could provide the final touch.
In the end, the single goal proved enough.
A disciplined and determined Redbridge performance secured all three points on the road, with Brown-Bampoe's header providing the reward for their second-half dominance.
The victory keeps the Motormen fourth in the table, just two points behind leaders Hashtag United, with a game in hand.
