This was an embarassing defeat against bottom of the league red bridge after some encouraging performances against teams at the other end of the table , witham started well in this game strongly attacking the vistors goal and after missing chances took the lead when rob whitnell brilliantly headed in a high cross by sam talyor and were unlucky when a shot by lewis god bold hit the post then steve ikimeld cleared off the line during a goal mouth scramble, as the vistors goal led a charmed life ,at the other end a free kick by ex town layer Jacob clever just skimmed the home cross bar. But realy witham should have had a match winning score at half time but lead just one nil.

The motormans keeper mike bowditch made a tremendous save from john Watson straight from the second half kick off but it all went wrong for witham ,as red bridge were awarded a penalty and former witham player Jacob cleaver scored as he sent keeper Jason baker the wrong way . This inspired red bridge whilst it took the opposite effect on witham team, although witham were on top they could not score ,with bad finishing and in the 75th minute a misunderstanding between baker and his defence let ryan reed in to score what proved to be the winner.

Even after that witham had chances but after using all the subs could not find a way through the elated vistors
