The Motormen pick up their first points of the season in a convincing win against Soham Town Rangers.
It was a great start from Redbridge, who suffered last minute heartbreak midweek, scoring after only four minutes. Emiel Aiken putting in a low cross into the area for Leslie thompson to tuck into the back of the net.
The next goal didn't come until the 40th minute, it started as a Soham corner which got cleared off the line and within seconds the ball was converted brilliantly into the goal by Thompson who scored his second of the day.
It was a fantastic counter attack which would have pleased the managers.
The second half started pretty much identical to the first. Four minutes into the half and a Redbridge corner was headed in by Emiel Aiken, or was it?
The ball hit the underside off the crossbar and seemed to bounce on the goal line. The referee said it had crossed the line and the goal stood.
Soham did produce a few chances and should've got at least a consolation in the 70th minute but Ben Sawyer saw his shot go wide from five yards out. Redbridge played the rest of the game at an easy pace and convincingly sealed the three points.
