Redbridge faced Chatham for the 3rd time this season looking for their first victory after a 4-1 league defeat along with a FA Trophy exit earlier in the season but it proved to be yet another loss.

The first half passed by without much incident as both sides cancelled each other out. Ryan Carolan had the best chance for the Motormen but his point blank effort was brilliantly saved by Jack Bradshaw in goal.

it was a poor display with few attempts on target and the ball often being given away but the away side did score in 1st half injury time.

A corner was headed on by Lewis Knight and although Daniel Smith was on the line to clear the linesman on the far side flagged that the ball had crossed the line and the goal stood.

Into the 2nd half and Chatham had further chances , the best of which came from Ade Yusuff who fired through a bunch of players but Mark Parker saved.

The home side came looking for a way back into the match and almost got it when Abs Thompson put through Eljay Worrell but his shot was well saved by the diving Bradshaw.

The same player then floated in a lovely free kick which just evaded two Redbridge players who only just needed a touch,

Chatham almost got a 2nd when the lively Yusuff broke into the box but his shot went just wide of the post before a thumping effort from Bostry Bansende was tipped over with yet another fine save.

In the final moments Daniel Francis amost rescued a point but again the keeper was equal to it and secured the win.
