VCD needed to win this one and they did just that to keep their title hopes alive although with Witham Town also winning it will now go to the final day where VCD need a win and hope Witham slip up.
One goal was enough on the day although they probably should have won by a greater margin.
It was a great start by both sides and Daniel Francis almost gave the hosts the lead, his effort coming back off the frame of the goal.
After that VCD pressed and should have taken the lead, only to be denied by the brilliance of Redbridge goalkeeper Dean Driscoll.
At the stroke of half time VCD got their goal through Karl Dent. The second half was more of the same from VCD but they couldn't find the back of the net. In the end VCD will be happy with the three points that keeps them in the title hunt.
Redbridge will be disappointed to have been defeated in their final home match and now travel to Heybridge Swifts in their final game before the curtain closes on a long season.
