Redbridge hosted Arlesey Town in this FA Trophy Replay after the original tie on Saturday had ended all square.
After heavy rain through the day referee Stuart Franklin passed the pitch fit to play.
The hosts were unchanged from Saturday apart from in goal where Mark Parker came in for his 1st start of the season.
It certainly looked a much more confident side than in recent weeks as Redbridge started on the front foot forcing a couple of early corners.
They should have opened the scoring when a good passing move saw William Drake put in Joe Gent who rounded the keeper but could only manage to find the side netting.
With Redbridge well on top it was no surprise to see them take a deserved lead when Drake tool control before swivelling in the box and firing hard and low past Nick Thompson in goal.
Further chances came for the home side through Reside Coxe-Sebastfao, Jamie Alexandrou and then Jay Knight who had the best chance of all right on half time as from 5 years out he blasted his effort over the crossbar.
Into the 2nd half and there was an early scare for Redbridge when Jack Vasey controlled well and his shot required a good save from Parker.
Chance after chance continued for the home team with both Knight and Gent having good efforts which lacked power as their shots went straight into the welcome arms of Thompson.
Deep into injury time however the game was made safe when Knight out on the touchline near the corner flag turned inside his marker and from a near impossible angle he found the net.
The win sees Redbridge travel to Ryman South side Corinthian Casuals in the next round and they will now hope to transfer their recent upturn in form to the league.
